Saints’ Episcopal Church achieves “parish” status
and day school begins as a preschool and kindergarten
operation. Fr.
James Patrick was named the first Headmaster |

Fr.
Bill Breyfogle began his 15-year term as the school’s
second Headmaster. |

First
grade added in the fall; All Saints’ Day School formally
created as a ministry of the parish.
Plans are to add a grade each year.
Fr. Charles Roberts is named the 3rd
Headmaster. |

2nd
and 3rd grades added due to pressure to expand
more quickly; prospective 3rd grade parents
(none members of All Saints’) paint and prepare the old
nursery room as a classroom.
Parish votes to expand to 8th grade
within five years. |

Boxmoor
(Senator Herbet “Hub” Walters home) purchased for use
as a campus site. First
through Fourth Grades moved from Church Campus to Boxmoor
Campus in September.
Louis “Smokey” Oats becomes the 4th
Headmaster. |

grade added; lower portion of Boxmoor garage remodeled as

Dearman is hired as 5th Headmaster of the

Expansion
approved as long range plan; options on SR 160 property
taken; purchase approved, with footprint for church
relocation. Feasibility
study done for capital campaign.

“On
Good Ground” Capital Campaign raises $1.7 million;
groundbreaking for site preparation. |
| 2000 |
All
Saints’ Day School incorporates as a separate entity and
changes name to All Saints’ Episcopal School with close
ties to All Saints’ Episcopal Church remaining but
without control of Board of Trustees by the Vestry of the
Church. |
| 2001 |
Construction
funding approved with personal guarantees to support loan
from bank; health and education bonds approved which
lowered interest rate dramatically.

| 2002 |
Grades
1-8 move to Maple Valley campus in February.
$400,000 gift announced that would cover most of
the construction costs of adding 4 classrooms that will
enable the kindergarten to move to the Maple Valley campus
by the start of the 2002-2003 academic year. The first year at Maple Valley opened with record enrollment
of 216 total, an 18% increase over the previous year. Eldridge Bryant hired as interim head of school, with Cecelia
Puryear added in a new position as Academic Dean. As of December 3, enrollment reached 221. |
| 2003 |
Current enrollment at 224. In February, Steven J. Cash announced as new head of
school, to arrive in June 2003.
ASES announces that the 3 and 4 year old preschool
classes will join the other classes at the Maple Valley
campus in Fall 2003.
Classroom space for the anticipated enrollment will
include 8 portable classrooms and a new playground area to
be positioned at the eastern side of the campus. |
| 2004 |
The
Boxmoor property was sold in the spring.
Enrollment reached a record high of 242, and the
Activities Center was
opened up for rental use by local community organizations
and companies. A new soccer field was constructed on school property across the road from
the main building. |
| 2005 |
The new soccer field was
dedicated as “Lotzi’s Field” in honor of Lawrence
Wyss. The
school announced the addition of a 2-Year-Old classroom to
its preschool program for the coming year. |

The
school reached a milestone enrollment of 265. |
