PTSO:

Please remember to send in your PTSO membership by September 30th, PTSO will provide a pizza lunch for EVERY class with 100% participation.  Almost all the classes in K-8 are at 100% participation and in the Early Learning Center, Mrs. Debbie’s butterflies are also very close.  Please get your memberships in so your child’s class can enjoy a pizza party!  Also DON’T FORGET:  Wrapping paper packets need to be returned by October 5.  Thanks for all your selling efforts and hard work!!!!!  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ann Harville at 423-748-4359.

Annual Giving Campaign Update-

Thanks to everyone for a great kick-off response to this year’s campaign  We are well on our way to achieving our goal of $80,000 in unrestricted income to support operations this year.

But listen to this:  A donor has issued a challenge gift of $10,000 to the parents of our Early Childhood Division.  For every new dollar we receive from this division the donor will match it up to $10,000!!  This is huge!

From the combined desks’ of the Middle School:

Dr. James Ford gave a presentation on gems to the middle school students last

week.  He also showed artifacts from the Atocha (a sunken treasure ship).  He

generously donated a tray of gemstones to the school containing rubies,

sapphires, emeralds, and many other samples.

 Also:

 Middle school students had their first meeting of the Literary Review Lunch

Bunch Club and shared lunch and discussed favorite books together.   It was

determined that everyone could  learn to enjoy reading,  if the right author or

book was chosen.

 

Our next lunch date will be on Oct. 23rd.  (Dessert & door prizes provided!)
